As we head into the new season, there will be a minimum of 1 new team participating in 2024, as the newly qualified team (Forged Five) decided not to go through with participating in EBL due to not having enough backing and wanting to pursue their careers as players instead. To fill this vacancy, we’re opening a Request for Proposal process for all interested parties looking to join EBL for Season 2024!
In short:
- Fortuna is opening a Request For Proposal process to all interested parties;
- Interested teams apply to join EBL;
- Fortuna selects 3-5 candidates, ranked by criteria such as financial offer, existing structure and brand development plans;
- Fortuna conducts interviews with all remaining candidates;
- Fortuna selects a new team to participate in EBL;
- Fortuna redistributes the revenue from the spot sale:
- 25% to the team selling the spot;
- 50% to the remaining teams;
- 25% to the League;
