Fortuna Championship Series is the first regional League of Legends league covering ex-YU countries.
Through its 3 seasons in 2016. and 2017. it paved a way for the Balkan esports that we know today as the Esports Balkan League.
FCS helped craft some of the best talents in the Balkan that went on to be the star players of KlikTech, x25 Esports, ASUS ROG Elite and Crvena Zvezda Esports.
This was also a milestone in the broadcasting department due to the fact it was the first esports league being broadcasted on regional television on a set schedule, as well as having set viewership records only surpassed by its successor – Esports Balkan League.
